– Thursday 9th from 4:15 – 5:00 20 K-4th grade kids in the program are excited we were there to visit them

-You will each be compensated $25.00 per visit for participating in this program

 

Homework Haven

-An after-school program that provides a quiet place for students to complete their homework with the assistance of adult tutors. We strive to help each child realize their full potential by encouraging the development of strong reading comprehension and math skills.

 

Wake County Animal Center (shelter)

– walk dogs, cuddle cats and more after completing 1-2 short training sessions at the Wake County Animal Center

Blind Spot Animal Sanctuary

Volunteer

– Typical volunteer activities include mucking the barn or the coop, raking, and pasture cleaning. Many of the animals will come visit you while you complete your tasks but please remember that some tasks may include minimal animal interaction.  Volunteering is physically intensive, so expect to get a good workout!  If you rather just visit the sanctuary and want to interact with the animals, we offer a short tour where you can feed the horses, pigs, and resident birds.
